About Us

Our story

Over a year ago, Carlos hooked an 80 kg yellowfin tuna from his kayak—two kilometers off the coast. During the intense struggle, the fish pulled him toward a nearby boat, where helping hands pulled both man and catch aboard. That moment sparked an unexpected connection: Carlos met Eduardo and the local fishing crews. From that day on, he joined them out at sea countless times—catching tuna and documenting their work on film.

What began as a personal adventure quickly turned into something more. Carlos realized that these fishermen were not only skilled in their craft, but also deeply respectful of the fish and the ocean. Their careful handling, traditional methods, and the quality of the tuna were remarkable. After preparing one of the fish at home, the difference in taste was undeniable—unlike anything imported in Germany. That’s when the idea was born.

We decided to share this outstanding quality with others.

Eduardo grew up in a traditional fishing family. From an early age, he learned what it truly means to be a fisherman—knowledge passed down through generations. With deep roots in the local fishing community and intimate knowledge of the sea, Eduardo is a vital part of our mission.

Today, Eduardo works at a local fish market and supports our work with his expertise. As a direct connection to the fishing crews—many of whom are his relatives—he helps ensure we bring you the very best fish, straight from the source.

Together, with a passionate and experienced team, we’ve made it our mission to deliver premium-quality tuna from the Azores to customers around the world—fresh, ethical, and unforgettable in taste.
